xdel Scripting Functions
xdel is designed to be able to recurse into all subfolders found in the directory. All files are considered and it does not matter what the file or folder’s extension is. It is able to handle wildcard expressions to recurse into the subfolders.
xdel has four built in scripting functions which can easily be added to scripts in various scripting languages, such as:

xdel.Test(STRING FILE, STRING ROOT)

Returns 1 if files are deleted, 0 otherwise.

xdel.Delete(STRING FILE, STRING ROOT)

Deletes files. FILE is the file path. ROOT is the

This is something that NTFS provides that the Windows shell does not.
This is not available on Linux and some other unix variants.
Instead a process called umount is used.
IMPORTANT: umount is only safe if it is not used to mount something else.
Use fuser or fusermount to check if a given device / mount point is busy before unmounting it.

Description:
Last fluff is a fast file/folder binder used to find the most recently created file on an NTFS filesystem.
The executable is a 32-bit standalone installer package that will extract to the Windows folder. Once extracted, a command line application appears with 4 command line switches to control operation. These are -command switch, -recycle command, -move command, and -delete command.
The -command option can have one of three values. The default value is “look”, which will look through the entire file system until it finds a “create time” for a certain file or folder. If no file is found, it uses the -recycle switch to see if it is possible to recycle the file space. The last thing it does is use the -delete switch to delete the file.
The -recycle option can have 2 values. If it is 0 (the default), the program will attempt to recycle the space by checking the recycle bin and any recycle file on the volume. If the -recycle value is 1 (or yes), it will just recycle the space normally. This includes checking the recycle bin.

The application has a dark background to match the Windows Desktop manager. Delete all files and folders named on the command line. If a file or folder is a symlink it will be deleted with it’s linked folder.
Permissions:
Users with “Standard User” or “Administrator” permissions can delete anything. xdel will warn the users if their users only have limited permissions. Deleting protected folders will be passed over to the permissions of the folder’s owner.
You may have to manually delete other users folders if these users only have limited permissions.

I have a column in a table in SQL Server 2008 that contains Names, and to avoid duplicates i add a unique constraint.
I want to delete those duplicates based on the names, so in this case I want to keep the latest record, or the only duplicate record.
Also i have a variable @sortNum1, which is the value of the second record which i have to save.
