I find it interesting that while ‘bug’ was removed from the products description, I found a few more about it. There is an FAQ about it and the FAQ says:

A: SuperShredder does not touch nor modify the contents of USB devices.

I guess it’s just a matter of some bad coding or something that allows it to’see’ the ‘bug’ in it’s code.
It’s a very useful product but it is NOT secure against reverse engineering. (Hacker types out there might appreciate that) But then again, this is a pretty small price to pay for a good file shredder.
